Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

NyanTV is a free, open-source application. This website (nyantv.vercel.app) does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. This page explains what little data is processed when you visit.

1. Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g. page views, referrers, rough location by country). This service does not use cookies and does not store a persistent identifier tied to you. Data is aggregated and anonymized. Even though this likely would not legally require consent on its own, we still gate it behind the same accept/decline choice you make in the banner on this site, purely to keep things simple and give you one clear switch for everything. You can change this choice at any time using the settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the site.

2. Embedded Video

Some pages may embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) mode. This mode avoids tracking cookies until you interact with the player, but loading the embed still causes your browser to connect to Google's servers, which transmits your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they process this.

3. Third-Party Links

This site links out to GitLab, Discord, Telegram, and Ko-fi. We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services once you leave our site.

4. Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel, which may process standard request metadata (IP address, request headers) as part of serving the site, as any web host does.

5. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personally identifying data through cookies or accounts, there is no profile, account, or stored personal data tied to you to access, export, or delete on our end. If you have questions, reach out via one of our community channels.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this page as the project evolves. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
